Dragon Crunch Jalapeño Poppers
These crispy, creamy jalapeño poppers are stuffed with savory sausage, melty cream cheese, and a spoonful of Dragon Crunch for the perfect spicy, crunchy kick. They’re easy to prep and even easier to disappear.
Ingredients
-
10 jalapeños
-
1 lb ground sausage
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
-
1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened
-
1 tablespoon Dragon Crunch
-
2 green onions, thinly sliced
-
2 cups panko breadcrumbs
Instructions
-
Prep the jalapeños: Slice the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes (use gloves if you’re sensitive to heat).
-
Cook the sausage: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease and let cool slightly.
-
Make the filling: In a bowl, mix together the cooked sausage, softened cream cheese, Dragon Crunch, green onions, and salt and pepper to taste.
-
Fill the peppers: Spoon the mixture into each jalapeño half, filling generously.
-
Coat with panko: Add panko to a shallow bowl. Press the filled side of each jalapeño into the breadcrumbs until evenly coated.
-
Bake: Place poppers on a baking sheet (breadcrumb side up). Bake at 375°F for 15 minutes, or until the tops are golden and the jalapeños are tender.
-
Serve: Let cool for a few minutes, then enjoy!
